Events and Opportunities to Get Involved

The 2024-2025 Respect Life Campaign is about to begin, and we invite everyone to participate in this important cause! This year’s theme is "I Came So They Might Have Life," and it serves as a powerful reminder of the value of every human life, from conception to natural death. The campaign kicks off with Respect Life Sunday on October 6th, 2024, and we have several events planned that we encourage you to join.

First, we are excited to share that the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has provided resources to help you get involved. You can access a campaign poster, prayer materials, graphics, and activity ideas for your home or community. These are available in the website below, and you can also see the poster below. Feel free to download and share these resources to spread the message of the sanctity of life.

Locally, the Diocese of Laredo Family Life Office is hosting a Pro-Life Poster Contest for students from elementary to high school. This is a wonderful opportunity for young people to express their support for life through their artwork. We encourage parents, teachers, and schools to get involved and inspire students to participate.

All the details about how to enter the contest, including submission guidelines, can be found here and in Spanish here.

We are also holding anoother major event that everyone is welcome to attend:

Rosary Walk

Scheduled for Sunday, January 19th, 2025, this walk is an annual tradition where we pray the rosary while walking together in unity. It's a powerful way to reflect and pray for the protection of life. Stay tuned for more details, but save the date now!

We invite everyone to take part in these activities, whether through prayer, participation, or simply sharing the message. Your involvement can make a real difference in spreading awareness and fostering a culture that respects life at every stage. Please share this with your friends, family, and parish, and let’s make this campaign a strong one!
