Safe Environment Requirements

For Personnel and Adults

All church personnel and adult volunteers must complete the following forms and training. All forms must be sent for processing to The Office of Safe Environment before volunteer service/employment with the diocese.

 

Checklist

1.Employee/Adult Volunteer Information Form 

2. Code of Conduct Form (English/Spanish)

3.Criminal Background Check Authorization Form. (Renewed every three years)

Service/employment is contingent upon satisfactory background check results.

4. Safe Environment Training – To be completed prior to volunteering in any capacity.

  • English Online Safe Environment Curriculum–Laredo (Renewed every three years)
    To access the Safe Environment Training site, go to https://laredo.cmgconnect.org/ and create a new account
    or log in to your existing account. Once you log in, the required training will await you on the main dashboard. Should there be problems with the registration
    or course process, technical support is available on the training site, or a call can be made at 1-888-804-9643.
  • Spanish En linea Ambiente Seguro (Safe Environment)–Laredo (Se requiere renovar cada tres años)
    Para acceder su cuenta o crear cuenta nueva, visite https://laredo.cmgconnect.org/. Una vez que inicie
    sesión, la sesión requerida lo estará esperando en el panel principal (dashboard). Si tiene algún problema con el registro o el proceso del curso,
    puede obtener asistencia técnica en el sitio de capacitación o llamar al 1-888-804-9643.

 

Only Church personnel will complete the Safe Environment Curriculum training by the first week of hire.

The Office of Human Resources conducts reference checks for prospective employees.

The Office of Human Resources maintains a central database of all church personnel and volunteers.

Parishes and Schools must forward all completed new hire employee and volunteer forms to HR.

For Youth Volunteers

The Diocese of Laredo is committed to ensuring the safety of our children and young people in keeping with the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People issued by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

All Youth volunteers must complete the following forms and training to be cleared and certified:
