This year, we’re honored to host a lineup of distinguished speakers, including:
- Ms. Luz Maria Gutierrez-Olvera, originally from Mexico City, moved to the U.S. in 1998. She has worked in spiritual formation for over 20 years and currently serves as Assistant Director and Instructor at the University of Dallas’ Neuhoff Institute. She holds a Master’s in Theological Studies and a Certification in Spiritual Direction, with a research focus on spiritual direction and human dignity in Scripture. A mother of four, she finds her greatest vocation in family life.
- Dr. Rose Marden, is an Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology at Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio, TX, where she directs the Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry program. She specializes in evangelization, faith formation, theological reflection, and Christian Initiation. With degrees in education, theology, and ministry, she has served as a Catholic school teacher, pastoral associate, RCIA director, and Associate Dean. She is married to Dr. Ed Marden, a retired USAF flight surgeon, and they have two adult children and three grandchildren, with one on the way.
- Dcn. Carlos de la Peña, nació en Laredo, Texas, en una familia de profunda fe, y desde joven cultivó su vida espiritual en la Iglesia Cristo Rey. Estudió Biología en la Universidad de Texas en San Antonio y, en 1996, se graduó como dentista, estableciendo su clínica en Eagle Pass, Texas. Casado con Veronica Guadalupe desde 1992, Dios los bendijo con cuatro hijos. En 2014, tras años de formación, fue ordenado diácono y actualmente sirve en la Misión de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes, compartiendo su ministerio con su esposa.
